Involuntary Chapter 11 Filed Against Cardis Corp.: Cardis Corp., one of California’s largest distributors of automotive parts, supplies and accessories, said unidentified creditors have filed an involuntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition against the company. A spokeswoman at Cardis’ Buena Park headquarters said the company had not seen the filing, made in federal court in Los Angeles. Its biggest creditors are Bank of America and Motor & Equipment Manufacturer’s Assn.
