Los Angeles-based Rykoff-Sexton Inc. has named Richard J. Martin to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was formerly vice president and treasurer. Robert J. Harter Jr. adds the duties of senior vice president of human resources to his role as general counsel.
Martin, 47, joined the company in 1988, from the auditing firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. Harter, 49, joined Rykoff-Sexton in 1989, from Tiger International Inc.
Both executives are members of a newly formed senior executive committee headed by Mark Van Stekelenburg, president and chief executive officer of Rykoff-Sexton Inc.
