Man Killed in Gang-Related Shooting

NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A gang-related shooting outside an apartment complex late Sunday left one man dead and a teen-age boy seriously wounded, according to a Los Angeles Police Department report.
Carlos Lopez Nunez, 23, was found dead in a parking lot in the 11700 block of Saticoy Street by police responding to an ambulance shooting call, said Sgt. Christopher Vasquez.
Also shot was a 16-year-old boy who was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills for treatment.
“An investigation revealed they had been shot by a rival gang member,” Vasquez said.
No arrests have been made.
