Basco to Play at UC Riverside

Cinnamon Basco, a 6-foot-1 center from Golden West College and Fountain Valley High, signed a letter of intent to play basketball at UC Riverside, Highlander Coach Debi Woelke announced Thursday.
Basco, who averaged 15.7 points and 12.7 rebounds, was an All-Southern California and All-Orange Empire Conference selection last season, setting a Golden West single-season record in rebounds with 484.
Riverside made the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time in school history last season, finishing second in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn.
Ocean View pitcher/first baseman Justin Brunette has signed to play baseball San Diego State.
