In the Sea View League:
University 9, Corona del Mar 6--Chris Toomey and Scott MacDermot each had three RBIs for host University (12-6-1, 3-3-1). Spencer Illingworth (4-1) was the winning pitcher. Corona del Mar is winless (0-7).
In the Olympic League:
Brethren Christian 8, Capistrano Valley Christian 7--Ryan Babcock’s seventh-inning single drove in Ed Carlson and Kurt Cuellar with the tying and winning runs for visiting Brethren Christian (6-5, 3-3). Cuellar had two hits and two RBIs and winning pitcher Tony Dybas had three hits and two RBIs. Dave Lambert homered for Capistrano Valley Christian.
