ADD WARNER: The Warner Ridge controversy inflicted some damage on Picus, Tuesday’s election results indicate. As she sought a fifth term, the 3rd District incumbent was accused of botching efforts to block the big office complex and, after legal challenges failed, costing taxpayers at least $5 million to boot. . . . Fourth-place finisher Robert Gross, the rival candidate most critical of Picus’ Warner Ridge record, was the top vote-getter in precincts next to the ridge. Picus now faces a runoff election against former aide Laura Chick.
