GE Whistle-Blower Awarded $11.45 Million: A General Electric whistle-blower who sued his company for overcharging the United States for aircraft parts for Israel will get $11.45 million through a settlement with the U.S. government. The federal government joined in the litigation in 1991, and last year it entered an agreement with GE requiring the company to pay $59.5 million. In addition to that amount, U.S. District Judge Carl Rubin in Cincinnati also imposed a $9.5-million fine.
