The Empire League baseball game between Esperanza and El Dorado has been moved to Cal State Fullerton at 7 tonight.

The Trabuco Hills golf team, ranked No. 1 in Orange County, easily won the Spring Valley Lake Invitational Monday at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville.

The Mustangs, who won the CIF-SCGA team title last season, had a 12-over-par 228 total, 17 strokes better than second-place Marina (245), ranked ninth in the county. Justin Grandy shot two-over 74, Zachary Allen shot 75 and Kevin Rodgers 79 to make up Trabuco Hills’ score.

Trabuco Hills was also represented by a second team--Chris McPherson (81), Brett Poulos (83) and Roger Micone (85), which finished in a tie for fourth with Palos Verdes Peninsula at 249. No. 2-ranked Huntington Beach (247) was third.

“I was real happy with the way they played,” Trabuco Hills Coach Gary Sabella said. “The golf course is not real easy out there and the six kids played really well.”
