Chrysler May Build Jeep Plant in Vietnam: Chrysler Corp. is working on a plan to produce its Jeep Cherokee vehicle in Vietnam once the U.S. trade embargo is lifted, Automotive News said. The weekly trade publication quoted La Ngoc Khue, vice minister of transport and communications, as saying Chrysler “has been very active” in establishing Jeep production, most probably in Hanoi.
