President Clinton’s Stimulus Plan

I’m heartened by the minority’s filibuster of the jobs bill in the U.S. Senate.
The Democrats for years have blocked the efforts of senators and congressmen representing millions of Americans who know we can no longer afford to spend without fiduciary consciousness. Democrats encourage Republicans to bring amendments and then defeat these in committee with rare opportunities for the Republican amendments to even be heard on the floor of Congress.
I welcome congressional gridlock that seeks to defeat business as usual with pork-barrel spending. With a $4 trillion debt, it’s time for the majority party to give serious consideration to cuts in spending. Deficit-cutting Democrats and Republicans have my deepest gratitude.
