President Clinton’s Stimulus Plan
The Senate filibuster against President Clinton’s stimulus package by the Republican minority is nothing more than a power grab by a bunch of losers. The Senate operating under archaic rules is possibly the most undemocratic institution in all of government. Yes, the minority has the right and even the responsibility to point out their differences and concerns. They do not, however, have the right to thwart the will of the majority. We are witnessing a political power play; an attempt to weaken the President. It makes no nevermind if one is for or against the stimulus package, one should disapprove the tactics; they are un-American.
