Term Limits
Your article (“Feinstein Learns the Life of a Rookie,” April 9) finally made clear to me why we must have term limitations. I always believed that we already had a perfect system of getting rid of bad legislators; we could simply vote them out of office. Your article makes it clear to me that people like West Virginia Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd (elected in 1959) have been in Congress too long. These people have become power hungry and will not step down until they are forced to. Their greed and self-centeredness should cause their own demise. Two terms are enough!
Let’s start taking control of our country and ridding Congress of people who don’t look beyond their own ego. We must elect people who will take care of our country or be rid of them.
I would relish more articles like this one telling us what is really going on in Congress. RUTH BRANDT SPITZER
