NHL ROUNDUP : Mogilny Scores Four for Sabres

Alexander Mogilny scored four goals, bringing his NHL-leading total to 60, and had an assist as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Detroit Red Wings, 10-7, Wednesday night at Buffalo.
Detroit’s Steve Yzerman assisted on the Red Wings’ first goal for the 1,000th point of his 10-year NHL career, then added a goal and two more assists.
Pat LaFontaine also had a five-point night for the Sabres, giving him sole possession of the NHL scoring lead with 109 points.
Philadelphia 5, Hartford 2--Kevin Dineen had two goals and an assist, and Eric Lindros scored twice as the Flyers won at Philadelphia.
Dineen opened and closed the scoring, and Lindros and Josef Beranek had goals within a 43-second span of the second period as Philadelphia took a 3-2 lead.
In the third period, Lindros made it 4-2 with a rebound at 7:15 for his 27th goal during a five-minute power play.
Vancouver 5, New York Rangers 4--Jim Sandlak and Petr Nedved scored in span of 1:20 in the third period to help the Canucks beat the Rangers for the first time in 14 games at Vancouver.
The Canucks were 0-10-3 heading into the game against the Rangers. Sandlak tied the game for the Canucks at 15:12 and Nedved won it with his 31st goal at 16:32.
