New Administrator at Queen of Valley

Matthew S. Gerlach has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina.
Gerlach formerly was associate administrator of operations at USC University Hospital, assistant administrator of diagnostic and therapeutic services at Torrance Memorial Medical Center and assistant to the deputy director at UCLA Medical Center.
He is president of the Health Care Executives of Southern California and a board member of the Hospital Council of Southern California.
Gerlach graduated from UC San Diego and has a master’s degree from UCLA in business administration and public health services management. He lives in La Canada Flintridge.
