Dolco Packaging Says Quarterly Profit Doubled
Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks manufacturer of plastic-packaging supplies, said its fourth-quarter profit more than doubled from a year earlier on an 11% gain in sales.
Dolco’s net income in the quarter ended Dec. 31 jumped to $858,000 from $403,000 a year earlier, and its sales climbed to $15.6 million from $14 million.
For all of last year, the company earned a $2.22-million profit, against a loss of $2.62 million in 1991 when Dolco incurred one-time charges of $2.72 million. Its annual sales edged up 3%, to $58.3 million from $56.4 million.
