Long Beach : Jogger Discovers Body in Bushes by Freeway
A Long Beach resident jogging along the flood control channel beside the Long Beach Freeway (710) came upon a body in the bushes Tuesday afternoon, police reported Wednesday.
Authorities identified the dead man as Jose Antonio Guerra, 24, of Los Angeles. Guerra was shot in the back and left in the bushes on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of the freeway south of Willow Street, police said.
Guerra was killed either Monday or early Tuesday, police said. Investigators have no suspects.
