Day Runner Inc. Earnings: The Fullerton-based company said Wednesday that net profit for the year ended Dec. 31, 1992, rose 35.3% and revenue grew by 34%.
The company, which sold its first shares to the public last March, reported that profit increased to $4.5 million, up from $3.3 million a year earlier. Annual revenue rose to $71.2 million, up from $53.2 million.
Fourth-quarter net income increased 19.4% to $1.9 million, up from $1.6 million. Revenue grew 29.4% to $22.8 million, up from $17.6 million.
Day Runner officials attributed the growth to dramatically higher sales of personal organizers and refills to mass merchandisers and office products stores.
Day Runner’s stock was unchanged at $11.75 in NASDAQ trading Wednesday.
