Top-seeded Karch Kiraly of San Clemente and Kent Steffes of Pacific Palisades won the $75,000 Miller Lite Open, the season opener of the 1993 Assn. of Volleyball Professionals/Miller Lite Tour, in Honolulu.
Kiraly and Steffes defeated Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos--both of Pacific Palisades--15-3, in the championship match. Last season, Kiraly and Steffes won 16 tournaments, including 13 in a row.
The winners’ share of the purse was $15,000.
