Seven cities met the final deadline for submitting bids to for the 2000 Summer Olympics.
The candidates are Beijing; Berlin; Brasilia; Istanbul; Manchester, England; Milan, Italy; and Sydney. The International Olympic Committee will vote on the site Sept. 23 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
