Industry : Rain Brings Outage to 799
A power outage caused by heavy rains knocked out electricity to 799 customers in the City of Industry on Wednesday morning, the Southern California Edison Co. said.
Company spokesman Ed Van Herik said the outage occurred about 1:30 a.m. when an underground pipe became submerged in water from the recent storms.
Power was restored to all but 240 customers by daybreak, and to the rest by 12:30 p.m., he said.
