The Los Angeles city automated refuse collection service will recycle Christmas trees. Residents who receive the service may leave trees for curbside pickup Jan. 11-15. Others may drop trees off at the locations below Jan. 2-9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will receive coupons for a free bag of compost and discounts to the IMAX film “Tropical Rain Forest.” All trees being recycled must have the stand, decorations and tinsel removed.
