Gershwin Celebration: The Ira and Lenore Gershwin Charitable Foundation has given $5,000 to kick off the annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event, which this year will be “George & Ira Gershwin--A Musical Celebration.” Performances Feb. 5-7 at the Embassy Theater will feature a cast that is scheduled to include Lucie Arnaz, Betty Buckley, Davis Gaines, Shirley Jones, Dale Kristien, Michael Piontek and Richard Thomas. Monies raised benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles.
