Lawrence B. Wilson, 80, a veteran State Department officer who was posted to India as cultural affairs adviser to Ambassador Chester Bowles and who later co-founded Superior Escrow Co., one of Los Angeles’ largest privately owned escrow companies. A former vice president of First Interstate Bank, he also was a professor of political science at Redlands University and California State University, Los Angeles. He served on the board of directors of Howard University and the Claremont Colleges. In Culver City on Wednesday of an intestinal obstruction.
