Leuzinger 80, Garfield 52--Seniors Frank Aguilar and Alex Gomez scored 14 points apiece, but Garfield was overmatched in a semifinal round game of the L.A. Invitational at East L.A. College.
Senior Travan Cockrell scored 23 points to lead the faster and more athletic Leuzinger Olympians to the championship game. Junior Wendell Robinson contributed 21 points to an Olympian victory.
Records: Leuzinger 6-5; Garfield 6-6.
