La Puente : Man Slain by Burglars

A 41-year-old man was killed late Sunday after he arrived home and found three men ransacking his house and his wife and daughter bound and gagged in a bedroom.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators said Ernest Leyva died of multiple stab wounds inflicted by one or more of the three burglars, who had forced their way into the house with guns. The attacked occurred about 9:30 p.m.
The wife and daughter, who were unhurt, managed to free themselves after the burglars fled with unspecified valuables, Deputy Gabe Ramirez said.
