Obituaries : Funeral for Officer
A funeral will be held Wednesday in Newhall for a Los Angeles police officer who died of injuries he suffered when his motorcycle collided with a car in Lancaster.
The funeral for Officer David C. Schmid, 34, will be held at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 23233 Lyons Ave.
The interment will be at Eternal Valley Cemetery in Santa Clarita, said Officer Frank Zdroy, who worked with Schmid in the Valley Traffic Division.
