Larger Than Life: Actress Daryl Hannah of “Splash” and “Blade Runner” is about to take on a larger-than-life role. She’s been set to star in a remake of the 1950s sci-fi movie “The Attack of the 50-Foot Woman,” which HBO Pictures is making in association with Lorimar Television. Hannah plays Nancy Archer, who grows to mammoth proportions after encountering an alien spaceship. Christopher Guest will direct. Emmy winner Joseph Dougherty (“thirtysomething”) based his script for the remake on the 1958 screenplay by Mark Hanna. The film will air on HBO next year.
