GARDEN GROVE : President of School Board, VP Elected
Lyn Hamtil has been elected president of the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education and Dick Hain has been elected vice president for the new year.
Hamtil has served on the board since 1979 and is currently a member of the California School Boards Assn. Delegate Assembly and vice president of the Orange County School Boards Assn. She is a graduate of Fullerton High School. Her four children graduated from Garden Grove schools.
A retired GGUSD administrator, Hain was also elected to the board in 1979.
The president and vice president serve one-year terms. Hamtil succeeds Joyce T. Johnson.
