East County : THOUSAND OAKS : Applications Taken for Access Panel
Applications are being taken from people interested in serving on a Thousand Oaks municipal board that reviews claims relating to access for the physically handicapped.
There are three vacancies on the five-member board, which meets periodically to review disabled-access plans filed by local businesses, officials said. The Physically Handicapped Access Board of Appeals also considers appeals from companies having difficulty meeting state and local access requirements for the disabled.
The deadline for submitting applications is Jan. 5.
Applications are available at the city clerk’s office, 2150 W. Hillcrest Drive. The City Council is expected to appoint the new members in February, officials said.
