Darrell (Doc) Rodgers, 30, a minor league pitching coach, became the second minority employee in the Cincinnati Reds’ 46-person front office when he was named assistant for baseball operations. Rodgers and an employee in the ticket office are the only two blacks on the Reds’ office staff.
