Dialing for Tickets: Theatre L.A., a theater service organization, has begun a same-day discount ticket service, available by calling (213) 688-ARTS between noon and 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays. Callers will be offered discounts of at least 40%. Credit-card orders will be processed and faxed to the theater box offices by 6 p.m. Whether a particular show will participate on any given day will be determined each morning.
