LET THEM GROW? A new UC Irvine survey shows that people in Orange County are less worried about strictly regulating growth--which is in short supply anyway--than they were in the ‘80s, when development was booming. Dana Point Planning Commission Chairman Robert Montgomery says it’s the recession: “When times are bad, other things become more important.”. . . He also agrees with less regulating: “We’ve got more than enough rules and regulations.”

A new survey shows that fewer Orange County residents believe local growth regulations are inadequate.
