Firefighters Douse Blaze in Dry Brush

COSTA MESA — A stubborn brush fire in the city’s Bluffs area took about 40 minutes to bring under control Saturday, firefighters reported. The blaze was ultimately extinguished without injury or damage to any structure.
The fire broke out in dry brush near Wilson Street and Pacific Avenue about 2:14 p.m. and was brought under control at 2:51 p.m., fire officials said.
The cause was not immediately determined.
