Suspended German runner Katrin Krabbe, the women’s world champion at 100 and 200 meters, made her auto racing debut in the Dubai International Rally in the United Arab Emirates. Krabbe and teammate Silka Fritzinger were 27th after the first day.
Mohammed bin Sulayem of the United Arab Emirates held the lead by 1 minute 31 seconds over Kalle Grundel of Sweden.
