RETAIL / TOURISM : O.C. Hotels Get Into Holiday Spirit With ‘Shopping,’ Decor

Orange County hotels are no slouches--or grinches, for that matter--when it comes to cashing in on the holidays.
The Beverly Heritage Hotel in Costa Mesa, for instance, is offering “No Hassle Holiday Shopping Packages” to take advantage of its proximity--walking distance--to South Coast Plaza. For $69 a night, guests get airport transportation, a bottle of champagne and a continental breakfast to prepare for a day at the mall.
The Disneyland Hotel, for its part, is decorating its grounds with lights, Christmas trees and two miles of garland. “Candy Cane Lane” features Santa, rides aboard a miniature train and an arts and crafts village.
