LOS ANGELES : Signs of Struggle Where Man Fell to His Death
A man who fell to his death onto a fourth-floor fire escape of a commercial building at 707 S. Broadway in the downtown jewelry district was an employee in the building, a police spokesman said Friday.
The 23-year-old man, whose name was not released, apparently stumbled or was pushed through a window on a stair landing three floors above the fire escape where his body was found at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, detectives said.
Blood in the hallway leading to the window indicated that the man was injured in a struggle before he plunged through the window, the officers said.
