The Region : Hazardous Waste Roundup

The county Department of Public Works and sanitation districts will hold a household hazardous waste roundup for east San Gabriel Valley residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5, at the Post Office, 15421 Gale Ave., City of Industry.
Residents may dispose of such items as car batteries, motor oil and paint that would be illegal to put in the trash or down the drain.
The service is free, but there is a per-vehicle limit of five gallons or 50 pounds.
