Jefferson 19, San Fernando 16--Junior fullback Marc Harris scored on a 74-yard run with 3 minutes 43 seconds to play, lifting the Democrats (7-3-1) to a hard-fought victory at Fremont High.
Jefferson defensive back Tyrone Morse then intercepted two passes in the final three minutes.
San Fernando (7-3-1) rallied from a 12-0 deficit in the second quarter as quarterback Leon Blunt scored on a two-yard run and Amon Flanagan added a 39-yard punt return for a 13-12 halftime lead. Ricardo Rivas increased the advantage to 16-12 with a 33-yard field goal in the third period.
