Montclair Prep 26, Murrieta Valley 0--Eliel Swinton and Wilbert Smith each scored two touchdowns as Montclair Prep (10-0) cruised past host Murrieta Valley (7-4).
Swinton scored on runs of 76 and nine yards. He finished with 155 yards in 14 carries to give him 5,260 rushing yards in his career, the fourth-highest total in Southern Section history.
Smith scored on a 55-yard return of a blocked field-goal attempt and a 56-yard run in the third quarter. Smith finished with eight carries for 81 yards. Montclair Prep had 235 yards on the ground.
Swinton gave the Mounties all the points they needed on their first play from scrimmage, taking a pitchout and darting 74 yards through the Murrieta Valley defense three minutes into the game.
The Mounties limited Murrieta Valley to 67 yards, holding 1,000-yard rusher Johnny Bush to 46 yards in 17 carries.
