USC Mascot to Make Last Lap Around Track

It is important for Trojan fans to know that the Notre Dame game on Nov. 28 will be their last opportunity to witness the famous tradition of Traveler galloping around the track at USC football games.

Starting next year, instead of the inspiration of “The Greatest College Mascot” in full gallop after a Trojan score, rooters will have only momentary glimpses of a restrained Traveler popping in and out of his insurance-safe, designated spot--much like a cuckoo bird.
