WOODLAND HILLS : Police Motorcyclist Hurt in Traffic Stop
A Los Angeles police motorcycle officer was slightly injured Friday when a car plowed into the pickup truck he had halted in Woodland Hills on suspicion of a traffic violation, police reported.
Officer John Wells, 54, suffered deep bruises and muscle tears in the 7:25 a.m. accident on Cass Avenue near Reforma Road, Sgt. Rod Grahek said.
Wells was hit by the truck he had stopped when it was struck from behind by a car on the winding road. Wells was treated at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and released.
Grahek said the accident was under investigation.
