CAMARILLO : Council Boosts Local Shopping Campaign
To encourage Camarillo residents to do their holiday gift hunting close to home, the Camarillo City Council voted to spend $2,500 on an advertising campaign to “Shop Camarillo.”
As part of the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored program, Camarillo residents will receive, in utility bills in the next few weeks, drawing entries for gift baskets and free restaurant dinners.
The City Council also authorized $600 for 11 banners to be hung on Ventura Boulevard for the Christmas season and another $2,800 to establish a year-round banner program to attract shoppers.
