In other Division I matches:
Capistrano Valley 18, Long Beach Poly 5--Jeremy Braxton-Brown scored eight goals and Jeff Moloughney had nine assists as the host Cougars (26-2) cruised at Saddleback College. Capistrano Valley, seeded second, plays Corona del Mar in the quarterfinals Tuesday. Long Beach Poly finished 16-7.
Corona del Mar 11, Villa Park 3--Crosby Grant scored three goals for host Corona del Mar (18-7), ranked fifth in the county. Lenny Malo scored two goals to lead Villa Park (15-12).
Newport Harbor 14, Los Angeles Loyola 7--Junior Nathan Andersen scored six goals for Newport Harbor (20-4), which will face top-seeded El Toro in the quarterfinals Tuesday. El Toro defeated Long Beach Millikan, 24-12.
North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 15, Tustin 11--Jim Toring scored seven goals and Ryan Salceda added three for host Harvard-Westlake (26-2). Tustin ends 13-15.
San Clemente 17, Santa Ana Valley 9--Bryce Matthews scored six goals to lead San Clemente (20-7). Todd Wines scored four goals for host Santa Ana Valley (22-5). San Clemente, ranked third in the county, will play Long Beach Wilson in the quarterfinals, Tuesday.
In second-round Division II matches:
Esperanza 18, Alhambra 7--Brandon Martinez had five goals and Eric Poole had four for the second-seeded Aztecs (24-3). Esperanza advanced to play Lompoc, a 9-8 winner over Sunny Hills, in the quarterfinals Wednesday.
Fountain Valley 16, Glendale 8--Ofer Horn, who has 132 goals for the season, scored seven goals for visiting Fountain Valley (22-6). Robert Causee had three goals and goalie Dennis Kantanen had seven saves for the Barons who will play Riverside Poly in the quarterfinals.
Marina 15, Riverside North 2--Jon Kenyon scored four goals and goalie Clay Cornhall had 12 saves for visiting Marina (19-10) which will play Simi Valley Royal in the quarterfinals.
In first-round Division IV matches:
Los Amigos 18, Palos Verdes Chadwick 8--Scott Simmons had five goals to lead Los Amigos (20-8). David Isaacs and Drew Douglass each had four goals for Los Amigos, which will play Etiwanda in the second round Tuesday.
In first-round Division II girls’ tennis:
Diamond Bar 9, Marina 9 (Diamond Bar wins on games, 85-69)--Holly Meyers of Marina was the only singles player to sweep her sets. Marina finished 13-7-1.Second-seeded Diamond Bar improved 21-0.
