CANYON COUNTRY : Car Crash Victim Was Newhall Man
Authorities on Friday identified one of two men who were killed when their car crossed into oncoming traffic on the Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.
Juan Aviles, 22, of Newhall was killed Thursday when the car swerved into northbound traffic north of Vasquez Canyon Road, said Margaret White, a spokeswoman for the county coroner’s office.
Authorities withheld the identity of a second man in the car until relatives could be contacted, White said.
