Since country and bluegrass are really kissin’ cousins of Irish music, it’s not too surprising to find Ireland’s top traditionalists accompanying the likes of Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Don Williams, Ricky Skaggs and other U.S. country folk. If it sometimes lacks the soul-stirring depths of the Chieftains’ 1988 teaming with Van Morrison, it misses none of the foot-stamping joy.
