The body of a man who had been reported missing was found Sunday on an embankment off of the Angeles Crest Highway in Angeles National Forest, lying near a pickup truck from which he had apparently been thrown, the California Highway Patrol said.
A passing motorist made the discovery shortly before 2 p.m. at a curve on the highway about eight miles west of Big Pines Road, CHP Officer Mike Reis said. The overturned truck was found about 400 feet off the side of the highway and the man’s body about 200 feet farther.
Reis said the man, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was reported missing Saturday. He had left Glendale for Wrightwood the previous day.
