Pasadena : Memorial to Slain Student
Polytechnic School will dedicate its baseball field Sunday to Ochari M. D’Aiello, a student at the school who was shot to death last summer in Georgia while attending a program for gifted students.
Polytechnic students will participate in the ceremony in honor of D’Aiello, who played varsity baseball for the school. D’Aiello was shot in the head on June 12 after he and some fellow students from a program at Morehouse College in Atlanta were allegedly involved in a confrontation with some other teen-agers.
The ceremony starts at 4 p.m. at 1030 E. California Blvd.
