WESTLAKE VILLAGE : Man Robs Bank, Escapes on Foot
A man escaped with an undetermined amount of cash Friday after robbing a Wells Fargo Bank in Westlake Village, Ventura County Sheriff’s officials said. The suspect entered the bank at 2663 Townsgate Road about 3:50 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller, officials said. He told the teller he had a gun but did not show one, authorities said. After placing the cash in a brown paper sack, the man fled on foot, officials said.
Witnesses described the robber as a male Latino, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black corduroy baseball cap, a green army field jacket, black T-shirt, black jeans, black Ray Ban sunglasses and a black diver’s wristwatch, officials said.
