West Covina : 6 Transit Projects Funded
The City Council decided unanimously Tuesday to fund six transportation-related projects over the next three years with the city’s Proposition C funds from the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission.
The projects are: plans for managing traffic congestion; a plan to upgrade signal lights for better traffic flow; assistance for ride-reduction programs; the lease of 100 parking spaces for customers using Metrolink; reconstruction of Vincent Avenue between the San Bernardino Freeway and West Covina Parkway, and the resurfacing of Glendora/Vincent Avenue between the Walnut Creek Channel and the south city limits.
The projects are expected to cost $1.23 million, of which $950,000 will come from Prop. C funds and the remainder from the city and other transportation funds.
