How About a Bailout for Rosey Grier?
The situation regarding Rosey Grier is deplorable. You always hear about budget cuts in the programs that will enlighten, educate and uplift minorities.
It is astounding to me as an American that not once in history has the President, vice president, members of Congress, other government officials in extremely high paying positions had their salaries cut. They are never laid off. They never stop giving themselves tremendous raises. Nor do they contribute a chunk of their salary when they cut a program.
You are talking about a man who has given valuable time and worked hard for a cause he truly believed in; $40,000 to $60,000 is no money to be crying about during a time the youth need a strong, black positive male figure.
